Born in the Wild
Tippi Degré is the daughter of two French photographers, Alain Degré and Sylvie Rober, who work for National Geographic. Born in Namibia, Tippi lives a special life. With a dearth of human friends her age, she befriended many animals in her "backyard." A 28 year-old elephant called Abu, a leopard called JB, an ostrich, a lion and a crocodile are on Tippi's list of friends. Some people explain these special connections by suggesting Tippi has exceptional, even supernatural, traits or abilities, with heightened senses of sensitivity and empathy. Luckily, we are able to witness her gift through amazing pictures taken by her parents.
