New Renaissance Portraits

American photographer Mark Abouzeid confronts xenophobia in Italy, where he lived a great part of his life, using art. In his new series entitled "The New New World," he remixes Renaissance portraits with immigrants who live in Florence. In challenging the country's stereotypes of immigrants, Abouzeid's models are people who have contributed tremendously to their new country.
