The Art of Healing

Photographer Grace Brown created Project Unbreakable in October 2011. In her photographs, survivors of sexual assaults hold a poster with a quote from their attackers (or what others said about the assault). The photographs are not only powerful in themselves, but they also expose many of the ridiculous arguments used in blaming victims in sexual aggression cases. In addressing the fact that women are not the only victims, the project also has photographs of men who have suffered this type of violence.
