There Was a Flower On the Street
As part of the fight against homophobia, artist Paul Harfleet plants a pansy where he experienced or witnessed a homophobic action. Instead of being passive to the suffering, Harfleet marks these moments with an element of beauty. He has already planted 10,000 flowers in different places, including UK, Vienna, New York, Berlin, and Istanbul. He wants to expand the Pansy Project by motivating people around the world to do the same, and to contribute their pictures of the flowers.
