Carbon Footprint of the 2010 World Cup

While South Africa and the rest of the continent may be pursuing renewable forms of energy, the World Cup 2010 will have anything but an environmental benefit with a report saying the tournament will have a carbon footprint six times that of the last competition four years ago in Germany. The graph below illustrates the total estimated carbon footprint of the South African World Cup.
