Facebullying

A study done of 4600 children from England revealed that one of every four children suffer bullying via the Internet. The vast majority of those attacks happen on Facebook, with MSN being the runner up. Responding aggressively or ignoring the bully is proven to work only half of the time. The most effective methods are to block the user or report him as abusive. Not only have students been victims, but 15% of threatened teachers have confessed that they were afraid for the security of their families.

Witnessing a bullying incident like this and not doing anything about it is giving your own consent to the bully. When we allow a fellow student to be bullied, we side with the aggressor. It is crucial to stand up for the victim.
