Do You Recognize These Famous Paintings?

Young artist and photographer Andy Alcala, from University of Iowa, has reproduced a series of famous paintings on his face by combining painting skills, photography, and a lot of patience and concentration. "Face Artists" is his project of self-portraits in which the face is the blank canvas for a beautiful work of art. Check out some samples below.

Salvador Dali's The Persistence of Memory (1931)

Vincent Van Gogh's Wheat Field with Cypresses (1889)

Andy Warhol's Marilyn (1967)

contemporary artists's proofs certainly are a unique part of the normal restricted edition. They generally promote for 10-30% more compared to the typical edition. Artist's proofs started when restricted versions were all hand-pulled from the one-man litho press. The artist's proofs were the very first designs drawn down a brand new "rock" (the menu that has been attracted or etched by the artist to develop the prints). The rock used down as how many designs was improved, so the APs were the sharpest and many vibrant of the lot. Ergo, they distributed for more, being fully a greater product.
