Red Nose Day
Last Friday, March 15, was the annual Red Nose Day in the UK. For 25 years the Red Nose Day organization has raised money to help give shelter to young people living on the streets, given protection to those living with domestic abuse in the UK, and saved thousands from malaria while providing whole communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines in Africa. What makes Red Nose Day different from other community service projects can be perceived by their slogan, "Do something funny for money." Maybe our own community service groups can gain inspiration for future fundraising activities from this astonishing movement?
