Monalisa Marques' "Uma pessoa por dia" ("A person per day") is a photographic collection of people she meets in Rio de Janeiro, where she lives. As she captures the personality of cariocas, the photojournalist works toward her goal of taking a picture of a person every day for a year. With her Nikon D90 in hand, Marques takes eccentric and captivating portraits. In an interview with the Rio Times Online, Marques declared, "I love capturing unique moments, people's experiences."
