Thoughts from a Baiana stuck in Pernambuco

Even though it hurts this Baiana to admit it, the Pernambuco trip has been amazing thus far. As soon as we left the airplane, we were surrounded by a blazing sun and an impressively modern airport. To kick off the trip we had a short stop at a beautiful beach before heading to our first huge meal. After gorging ourselves with delicious aipim frito and bolo de rolo, among other traditional  foods, we visited a very peculiar museum: among a variety of sculptures and beautiful scenery, we had the chance to explore the creativity and uniquenes of Francisco Brennand before heading to the hotel. Finally, to finish the first day of our last class trip, we decided to leave our diets behind and stuff ourselves with a variety of shrimp.
